Terms & Conditions for the Young America Foundation’s Winery Tour on October 3, 2026 (the “Event”)
1. Participation
The Event is open to former employees of Young America’s Foundation (YAF), alumni of any of YAF’s educational programs, and their guests. All participants must be over the age of 21. I understand that my participation in the Event is completely voluntary.
2. Age Verification
I certify that I am 21 years of age or older as of the date of the Event. I agree to provide a valid, government-issued photo identification upon request to verify our age before consuming any alcoholic beverages.
3. Assumption of Risk
I understand and acknowledge that the Event involves the consumption of alcohol, which carries inherent risks. These risks include, but are not limited to, physical injury, illness, alcohol poisoning, impaired judgment, property damage, and vehicular accidents if driving after the event. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks and hazards, both known and unknown, associated with my participation in this Event. I further acknowledge and assume all risks and hazards incidental to participation in the Event, including transportation to and from the Event.
4. Alcohol Consumption & Responsibility
I agree to consume alcohol responsibly. I accept full personal responsibility for my behavior, consumption levels, and safety. I agree not to drive under the influence of alcohol. I understand that YAF encourages the use of designated drivers, public transportation, or rideshare services (e.g., Uber, Lyft) to ensure safe transit from the Event. I acknowledge that YAF has the right to remove me from the Event if, in YAF’s sole discretion, I am visibly intoxicated or otherwise disruptive.
5. Release and Waiver of Liability
In consideration for being permitted to participate in the Event, the receipt and sufficiency of which consideration are hereby acknowledged, I hereby forever release, waive, relinquish, discharge, and hold harmless YAF, its officers, directors, managers, employees, volunteers, and assigns (the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, rights, damages, expenses, and causes of action of whatever kind or nature, and other losses of any kind, whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen, and I further promise not to sue any of the Released Parties for any illness, personal injury, disability, property damage or theft, or death which may result from participation in this Event. These terms and conditions shall be construed under Tennessee law and should be interpreted by any court of competent jurisdiction to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible.
6. Medical Treatment/Property Damage
I authorize the Event staff to secure first aid or emergency medical treatment for me if necessary. I agree that I will be solely responsible for any financial costs associated with such medical care. I also accept responsibility for any property damage to the Event venue that I may cause during my participation in the Event.
